Frequently Asked Questions
How do prompts work in Demix?
Type a natural-language description of the sound you want to extract. Demix AI interprets your prompt and tries to isolate that element from your audio.
What makes a good prompt?
Be specific. Instead of 'drums', try 'kick drum' or 'snare with reverb'. The more descriptive, the better Demix can isolate the exact sound you want.
Can I extract sounds that aren't instruments?
Yes. Demix can extract textures, effects, ambient elements, crowd noise, vinyl crackle, reverb tails, and other non-standard sounds you can describe.
What if the prompt doesn't work well?
Try rephrasing with more detail, or be more specific about the sonic characteristics. You can also try broader prompts like 'vocals' vs narrower ones like 'lead vocals with reverb'.
